"Signing up with Because You Can Fitness is one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself. I never liked exercising but that changed when I joined Lori's bootcamp class. The classes are a solid cardio workout with lots of strength-building exercises. As a beginner, I found it challenging but doable, and I like that it wasn’t a high-pressure environment. We exercise outdoors, Lori keeps it fun and fresh by switching up routines and adding new activities. After about 9 months, I felt ready for a greater challenge and joined the train-to-run program. Having never run a mile in my entire life, I wasn’t sure I could do it, but Lori’s steady encouragement and positive attitude helped me develop enough strength and confidence to finish my first 5k. I feel more energetic now than I ever have before, and it's very empowering to know that I can set a fitness goal and achieve it.
